Disc Analysis Explanation

Digital Revolution takes great care to make you the highest quality digital copies possible. Playability, image, sound and data quality along with excellent customer service are our goals. Each original disc you submit for copying is first run through our digital disc analyzer. Disc diagnostic testing graphically tells us, bit by bit, whether your original disc will allow us to make good quality copies. Our duplicators have built in error-correction so that many bit errors on your original disc can be fixed in the copying process.

Have you ever experienced DVD playback problems?
We can solve those problems before they start.

Every order placed with Digital Revolution comes with a free disc diagnostic analysis. We analyze each DVD or CD client master for the quality of the disc burn and/or physical defects. The analyzer does not test content problems.

The analyzer grades each disc on a number of burn properties. After the analysis is done it will grade the disc “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “F”. An “A” is the best score meaning no important noticeable defects. A grade of “D” or “F” (failing) means that the disc could have a number fatal flaws that can cause playback problems including skipping, freezing or just not playing at all on some players. A grade of “B” or “C” generally means that the disc contains some errors; however will play back error free on most players.

The copies that Digital Revolution make are only as good as the quality of the original disc. The reason why we provide this service is to help the customer avoid potential playback problems on the copies. If the original disc receives a grade of “C” or better we recommend moving forward with duplication. If it receives a grade of “D” or “F” we recommend reburning the original program with: 1: A different brand of disc 2: If burning in a computer, close all other applications before burning 3: Trying a different burner. 4: Burning at a slower speed. One or a combination of these solutions usually increases the quality of the burn and allows us to create more reliable disc copies.

If you provide us with your program elements and have us do the authoring for you, our burners are calibrated to create excellent quality discs.
